It is still offered. Skeeter's post never said anything about not allowing speedball. There just needs to be the players to support opening more often.

my original post in this forum was mis worded i maybe more so meant why have a forum dedicated to speedball when we only offer it as an option for private parties why dont we have a forum specifically. for recball or speciffically for scenarios

as of last weekend, the speedball field was being taken down.

dont know if mgmt. will confirm/deny this. but that was the rumor going around last saturday at the field.

supposed to be more parking for scenarios. its getting too big for the parking lot already, so something has to go.

my suggestion would be to take the nets down in between the two fields and make 1 longer and bigger X-ball sized field using the existing speedball field and some of field 3. we definately have the poles, netting, and man power. all we need is the willpower of every1 to help or atleast support the idea. one 7 manish size field would be a lot better and a compromise for space. also IMO have 1 larger field would be better than having two smaller field expecially since we only use 1 at a time.

who knows maybe if we get enough support management will think its a cool idea and maybe a smidgen of speedball will still be around. i mean now what r we goin to play pump tourneys on???

as a straight up promise Brain and Skeet ill go out of my way to get this to happen. i have no problem voluenteering my time(which is all spent at PBC anyways) to put this thing together.

casey has the a great idea. i think a larger x-ball field would be cool and i'd try to play as much as possible. but w/e happens happens. PBC is still the best field around

We are open to all good ideas, but we need to let things settle for a bit. There are some dynamics at play on that end of the field that are beyond our control. Once we know where we stand (trust me, this is more frustrating for Brain and I than you will ever know), we might be able to keep speedball alive.

I'll be glad to help also, I also think that the speedball turnout will pick up since summer is coming up and everyone is off of school. alot of peoples parents didn't want them out till 10 or later on a school night.

I don't disagree that the summer is more convenient, but then people have the excuse of, "it is too hot." There is always an excuse.
