OK guys, lets get some games going. We have a very slow day on the books for this Sunday, and it would be a good chance to give the speedball fields a workout!!!

Mr.GQ... You ready to wear the "organizer" hat? Everyone one, schedule with Sean and lets get a day of speedball running.

Lets get all waivers AND the field fees in place by Saturday night? This is just a good chance to get some play time. Lets have 20 or so players take advantage of it!!!

and what about walk ons sunday? Could people show up and sign up for speedball the day of? jw (im not talking about recballers walking over)

Once we have the "group" signed up and paid, other players can join in for $17, which will include all day air. The trick is getting the first 20 players. If there is a chance you can make it, sign up ahead of time, or the event may not happen.

Sean (MrGQ) is has volunteered to coordinate things, but I did not check with him for this weekend. If he is not available, then someone else needs to step in.

Not sure which ref will get speedball duty. Dugan, you can make it... Just come out a little later & join the fun. I wan't to see some players over there.

I plan on not functioning. I usually bring the pain, but after the best holiday of the year, I'll take the day off.

GLK will probably be able to get a few guys out there. We will be expecting to be able to pratice against some reasonable competition so bring your game kiddies.

Get the 20 (completed) waivers and the $340 to the store by the close of business Saturday. How you manage that task (sounds simple on paper) is up to you.

FYI, I have already rescheduled a private party AWAY from Sunday to help avoid a ref shortage.

Just so everyone knows,
I HAVE ONLY 5 PEOPLE WHO CONTACTED ME!!!!!
That is nowhere near the 20 we need to get this thing going. I'm not going to go to Skeeter with only 5 people I can count on. Get me your info and I'll get the show on the road.

OMG he has asked to BE contacted not to have to chase everyone down. He has posted his email address so EMAIL him. This helps to prove one of our points, lack of interest...

We probably have enough players to get things going. There are two problems that seem to keep comming up:

1. Getting 20+ speedballers that are actually willing to PAY to play???
2. Getting 20+ speedballers to communicate and get on the same page in regards to date and time...

Skeeter is 100% right on money and communication but between me and GQ i think we're getting it done, which is positive for this weekend, and possible future speedball parties.
Reminder...Ill be at the field saturday around 12 with GQ making rounds to all the groups, collecting waivers and money $17 from everyone who wants to play sunday...so keep an ear/eye out for us between your games
