View Full Version : Best barrel for a 98 Custom
ok, I've done research and had many mixed reviews. What is the best barrel out there for accuracy and distance. I've heard Smart Parts Progressive, J&J Ceramics, and DYE Ultralite etc. what is really the best?

It depends on what you qualify as the best. Shoots through breaks, longest distance, best accuracy with a variety of paint sizes, quietest, etc.

distance isnt exactly goign tto vary that much between barrels. and you can use a $50 progressive with a good paint match and get just as good accuracy as a ultralight, but the best barrel I have shot is a Ultralite/Any of the dye barrels. I hear that the lucky 15 or w/e is another barrel that shoots good. Another good brand is CP or J&J

i have a 98 custom and the best barrel that i have is the ultralite. Its accurate and reasonaly quiet, but that doesnt make much differenct to an already noisy marker. At the moment i have a dye precision on my marer, and its quite good. Look at the pirces. Both barrels are good, but if you have more to spend, get the ultralite.
