View Full Version : ION or WGP sniper???

I don't know if i should get an ION or a WGP sniper. I want both but I want to get better at snap shooting but I also want an accurate and fast gun.... help me out :confused:

That is like asking someone if you should get a horse or an airplane....Completely different things that only you can answer. All you will get are opinions from people who like semiautomatic guns vs. those who love pumps.

Well i have an Ion and uhh they are really good...
but as a "paintballer" i woul say thhat having a semi isnt as hard to get poeple as when u have a pump.
so having a pump really improves ur game compared to a semi...
but SEMIS ARE FREKIN AWESOME

Get the Sniper 2 and then improve your game with it, save your money, then get a Shocker instead of an Ion because Ions are CRAP. Enjoy and happy hunting.

thx.....if I had the money to buy a shocker I would in a second but I have to pay for EVERYTHING that has to do with paintball unless its christmas......I could save up but that would take forever.......but yeah.....im jus thinkin about doin what u said and get the sniper 2 and get good with that and buy an ion or if i have $700-800 buy a shocker...lol

sniper...definately, cheap, accurate, easy to maintain, and will improve your skills drastically.

And jimbo, what would be the point of spending the extra cash when for the same price you could get a much better gun...for example NICE DM3's are going for around 350 now.

A DM3 is still a "SPRAY AND PRAY" gun. You will develop no skills shooting 2 cases of paint every time you come out and play. The only thing that you will gain is the friendship of Skeeter and Brain.

lol BY NO MEANS was i recomending you get a DM3. Dugan I was just pointing out how ions are comparing with other high end guns now. yeh but back like dugan said no-one should even start out with a fast gun, because you will rely on the gun more than you do your skills.

stfu ions are not crap they kick ass: ur just pissed cuz you payed over $1000 for ur shocker and i payed only ~$600 for my ion and its ups and it is lighter than ur shocker and just as accurate, and almost as fast. All you ion haters are just pissed off that ions are better guns than yours for a whole lot cheaper. Oh, and get a phantom AND an ion. That's what i have and they both kick ass.

Are you kidding me? I would like to make and offer to you. Me vs. you any field any time. If you don't want to play just me then get a team together and your team can play mine. Then you will learn some resepct when you are breaking your plastic toy over you knee.

i mean ions are good guns idc if they are made of plastic like 1 part so WTF they still shoot they work and they kikass for the price...
some poeople dont have money like u guys for dm3,4,5 or a DMC or a shocker(not tht expensive)
im not trying to start a fight but i have an ion im impressed with the perfromance of it for the price but i see wat ur sayin to how other guns are wayyyy better :)

lol Jimbo I respect your opinion, I have shot one before, and Im not sayin there absolute crap, they shoot decent, but the bondo-ion kid was comparing it saying how his was better than a shocker, and Im sorry but theres no way.

It is a fine gun to start with and it is better then many other starter guns. But the amount of Cash that it costs to make one tournement ready, you will have to spend the same on a shocker. I break parts on my gun and it's metal.

The conclusion is we're back where we started. If you plan on getting into any kind of speedball, get a gun that you can compete with and grow with. I'm not saying an Ion is the only choice, but it's one.
If you are more interested in rec ball, then you can be much more effective using a pump if you choose to. It will force you to learn to shoot, but you will not be able to develop any speedball related skills. It's just a different world and a pump can be very competitive/deadly.
The fact is, a majority of people who start with a fast gun never really learn to "aim" like those who learn to make one shot count and then duck!
Everything else is personal. Nobody else can tell you for sure what is the right gun for you. They can share their experiences one way or the other but that's it.
