Im building an eblade, and I know that in theory heavier hammers would be good because you can use a lesser tension valve and hammer spring, which would equal less recock pressure, but my idea is that at high speeds, wouldn't a heavier hammer be detrimental to the speed of the gun, becuase it's more moving mass? i mean I know that on mech and sniper 2 heavier hamers are better, but I was just wondering how this compared w/ eblades...by the way, ive picked out everything for speed, so it should be good on the pneumatic and bolt end (belsales ram w/ dual QEV's and SLIK Nylatron bolt)

Yes, with an e-blade you are going to want a some what lighter hammer compared to what they used to make. That is one of the main reasons that Freeflow stopped making their heavy Tungsten hammer, they were to heavy and tore up e-blades, especially when they got to the higher rates of fire. You are correct for the most part..that is why the ones of who have gotten are hands on the heavy hammers have got them in our Sniper 2's...

The stock hammer is a good lighter weight hammer to use with the eblade. If you aren't trying to go lower pressure there really isn't a reason to go with a heavy hammer.

thx-I think I will just keep my stock one and put a new valve spring in

Yep, the stock hammer is as good as most anything else you'll find for that gun. If you do swap it out, remember a flat lug works best.
