Im getting a new Phantom and was wondering if I should choose a 3.5 ounce co2 tank or just buy 12 grams for when I play. 12 grams are cheap yes but would a co2 tank pay itself off? If you can offer ant help, thanks.

12 grams hold 15-25 shots depending on the weather so a lot more then that

The thing about 12 grams is that it adds to the difficulty of playing. Personally I really enjoyed it, because it keeps you on your toes. You have to remember how many shots you have on your 12 gram or you run the risk of attacking someone just as your 12 gram runs out. Also, you have to get quick at changing them or you may get bum rushed as you are changing. There are some old skool tricks, such as venting a touch of your 12 gram to let people think you are out, then getting ready to shoot them as they attack thinking you are changing 12 grams.
I think one of the best times I ever had was tossing Keith a 12 gram as he and I were involved in a firefight. He was out and I had plenty left. This might not sound like much fun to most of you, but remember, we weren't the only ones on the field (actually it was Skeeter and I in the top of the old center fort at the old field and about a dozen people surrounding us trying to get us out. Skeeter's phantom was messing up and seriously dropping in velocity with each shot. To top it off.....Keith was on the other team and trying to shoot me at the time with his 3357.

I have a 3.5 oz for sale w/ SP on/off valve...

Tanks are more cost effective- cost $1 to fill, fill twice to play all day.

You use about 10-15 12 grams in an average day, that's $5 to $7.5 alot more than tank. but then again they are lighter...

Buy my tank for $30 in awesome condition only used a few times.... $40 new.
