i think maybe PBC should allow ramping with a 15bps cap. and only tournament legal modes (no nxl) maybe just psp. Just a thought:oo7dt:

but you have to think of the little kids who use tippmanns and the pump players as well... kids already complain that people shoot to fast w/ semi... *Myself and matt as being one of the "rampers"*

if you havent noticed on the field during our safety briefings we have an over shooting rule. ppl get overshot when others are on semi. what do you think is goin to happen when ppl are ramping or on psp? we try to provide a safe enviroment and we dont want little 10 year olds going home with 15 shots across theyre back

exactly and little kids still get over shot while someones only shooting 15bps and is actually controling the gun firing on semi

ramping's for speedball if you want to ramp go play speedball

we whould have certian times of play for ramping modes like we use to have speedball but it should be on all the recball fields so the little kids can still come but they can sit out the ramping games.

psp is a ramp mode...if you didnt cap it your gun would shoot as fast as your hopper can feed...not a good sugestion...the reason the banned all these modes was because people abused them

thats like me saying we should have pump only game at certain times. that way you can sit out of the pump games. or we should only have games that experienced people can play in that way you have to sit out for the experienced players only games...hows that sound?

The reason we don't let people ramp is because of kids like you. If ramping was allowed, kids would come out and shoot so much paint just to show off their fancy little ions. These same kids are the ones who wouldn't be able to control their guns and would end up overshooting people like crazy. Just because you have a fast gun, doesn't mean you know how to use it responsibly.

Ramping is allowed in tournaments because people are going to cheat and ramp anyway if it's not allowed. AND the players tend to know how to control their guns and take the extra few accidental hits without too much whining...

yall im srry i have been overshot and i dont like it im saying i dont have the fastest fingers in the world and people can pop up and get back down before i can pull 10 shots of and i was just saying it would just be a good adrenaline rush to have averone firing at preatty much the same speed and it would really be a challange. i never thought of little kid getting overshot i thought of the challage of running arould when you got 3 people shooting at 30bps. i play in the woods and if omeone overshots they get shot out of the woods i never thought of over shooting so i think that ramping is not right for pbc. soory for even saying anything.

Ramping isnt going to change at paintball charleston as a recball field there is no need to shoot that fast this way the pumps (casey) have an equal chance against people with crazy fast timmys and shockers(lucas)

it just works better this way

if you're into challenges imagine this....

3 or 4 semis, RTs, what have you. just spraying at you w/ paint. not ramping but shooting as fast as they can. you moving from bunker to bunker gettting closer and closer. then you PUMP your gun, take aim and.. WACK!. theres 1 less guy to worry about. duck in PUMP again. snap out and before he has time to blink, WACK, now thats two down. move quick, slide, keep them guessing. PUMP again. WACK gog shot this time. one guy left. by the time he sees what you did to his friends he'll surrender to you. thats 4 elims, 3 shots. Challenging enough for you???

what you were talking about is not a challenge. it would jsut be a lot of inexperienced people shooting as much as they can w/o a kill count to look forward to at the end of the game.

Not true (it's ALWAYS the tournament guys huh?), well not exactly. And also not true. I actually see more complaining on tournament fields than elsewhere.

As for the topic, I propose we have an occasional "All ramping" game on the side. This should be capped at 15 bps and it will of course be blister ball rules. Then anyone who complains gets "walked" off the field. To make it even more interesting we could play limited paint. Say...3 pods and a hopper? We used to end practices this way every once in a while. It will definitely get the urge out of your system. Especially if that urge is to be covered in bruises. Just remember, the last one in is not always the winner!:wink0st:
