I bought a used Sniper 2 and the valve is leaking. I have read forums about this problem but i want to know if the cup seal or valve o-ring can go bad if it hasn't been shot in a long time. I am pretty sure that they can be fixed by shooting it 50 or so times and putting oil in the ASA but i just wanted to hear other people's opinions on this and if it has happened to any other people.
Thanks.

Like a slow leak, or like PSHHHHHH when you air it up? A slow leak means o-ring. Exploding sound means spring pressure not high enough to seal valve.

best recomendation is to bring it into the store and have brad take a look at it or call them to see what they say at 552-1115

thats backwards tho...if the reg is too low it should have a problem keepin the valve closed. if the reg is too high then you hammer is just gonna bounce off the valve stem w/o releasing much air.
Probably just turned the reg the wrong way.

Yeah, thats what it did with the reg that came with it..it just made a poping sound, then i put my other reg on it and air shot out. The reg that made the gun "pop" was set too low and that was the onlyone that could be adjusted, so i turned it up...
