SCDNR Hunter Education classes

I've never actually had a hunting license so i figure its probably time. I need to take the hunter education class before I'm allowed to get my license. The SCDNR website says it's a 10 hour course with a test at the end which seems a bit ridiculous to me...

has anyone ever taken the course? what should i expect? do i need to bring my own lunch or do they give me a break to go get lunch? is it really boring/am i gonna fall asleep? any details?

anyone else want to go to one in Moncks Corner this saturday?

I began to take the online course a while back and it was so BORING that i just quit and decided im going to go to DNR to take it(i still need to) ...the practice tests are pretty detailed... us hould take some of those to prepare yourself....

I took it, it was pretty boring, but that was like 4 or 5 years ago, they may have changed it. there was a break for lunch and the test at the end was pretty easy, i passed it when i was like 12 and I took a short nap in the class.

The only person who didnt pass it was this old super-redneck guy

ive taken it b4 and i thought it was pretty easy. My "class" lookd over and talked about the information packet and studied it then took the test. It was the exact stuff we talked about lol...pretty easy i thought...ull do fine

i took it last year...it was boring, all you do is sit around watch a few video clips on what and what not to do,get taught, and then take a test, it was quite easy, mostly common sense stuff.............................and you do take a break for lunch

I'm more than down to go out to St. George. I'm really needing to get it all taken care of before Thanksgiving break because I'm going hog hunting with a few friends for a few days on their 800 acres out in edisto.

i'm down for cottageville as well. i get out on fridays too late to go. but saturdays when we don't have football games i'm down. and thanksgiving and christmas break.
