you wont get an amber alert if your over 18, your not considered a child anymore

wait, you are talking about the O-rings that seal the connection between a one object and another (i.e. a tank and an asa), right?

I see, and what is there not to understand about them? They are quite simple I believe.

quite the contrary, a very in depth and SEVERAL HOUR LONG response fully explains the intricate desgin of an o-ring, but skeeter needs a whiteboard to explain entirely

Well, they form a barrier between two harder surfaces. It seals a joint where a liquid or gas can leak out. When pressure is applied from the insode/outside, the o-ring will move accordingly and push up against whichever wall has less pressure, sealing it quite well.
So, an example would be the o-rings on the necks of tanks. The air pressure pushes the o-ring toward the butt of the tank (just a clear landmark). Also, the pin that prevents air from coming out of a filled tank has pressure behind it. The O-ring is rolled into position by the pressure, and pushed up against the wall, sealing the tank. The I-ring makes it so there is zero clearance for a leak to occur.
Visual aids would make this much easier to explain.
Oh yes Casey, one more thing: quite obviously 4 other people heave not answered your question so back the **** off.

Well thank you for the recognition, may I inquire what Casey is looking for then?

QFT. I believe me and Brad were some of the first to hear this, and it has become a "right of passage" since.
