how is the sign up for the scenario going and how many people is on the form
coolsax

So, it's $50 for the scenario and then like $50 more for a case of paint?
Paintballindave
08-26-2005, 10:39 PM
From what I have heard it is a minimum of $115 to play in the scenario. That is $50 for entry, $15 for all day air, and $50 for the mandatory case of paint you have to buy when you register, and there is no way around it so far because the scenario isn't BYOP. Hope this helps.

Why is this scenario so expensive? The last few have been like $45 for a case and like 25$ if you sign up early.

this scenario is goig to be the best one yet but we will see when that time comes

well all of the other ones have been put on by paintball charleston i think paintball charleston is just hosting this one.
Paintballindave
08-29-2005, 03:18 PM
That is correct, PBC is only hosting the scenario. I believe it is mppgames that is running it or something like that. Correct me if I'm wrong, and I think it is one part of a multiple scenario schedule they are running. It should be a good time.

To correct some misinformation on this thread.
Paint is not minimum 1 case. You can buy less than a case day of if you wish.
The all event air price is $10, not $15. (it is a typo)
If you are a member you get $10 off the $50 entry fee.
The $50 entry fee is not unreasonable when you look at what other fields charge for their average scenario. This event will be put on by mpp games, not PBC. We have spoiled everyone over the years with the low cost scenario games but this one is not in our control. It will be a very top notch event. Mpp games brings a lot of experience to the game and even more twists and turns. Also realize it is a 24 hour game, not an 8 hour game.
mpp game gives away very nice prize packages, much better than any we have ever done and they will be increased with our own give aways.
All in all, it will be a great time with many players from out of town and actual tank battles this time!

Lets just say that the Allied Forces commander is actually a former British Airborne member. It will just be fun to hear him shout out commands.
The German Forces commander will have to learn how to duck step now.
I am a German pilot, flying a German airplane, in Germany...why do I have to speak English...?

Skeeter was kind enough to ask me to command the British side. I am looking for tough. resilient chaps with bags of go and plenty of dash.
Phil with the Ion is one of my sons; Alex the other.
A little about my background. I did 24 years regular and reserve service with the British Army, serving in the cavalry (Chieftain and Challenger tanks), armoured recce and ending up in 5 Airborne Brigade. I work in the Ladson area making armoured and mine protected vehicles (look at forceprotection.net)
Seriously, if you are looking for a good bunch then join the British side. I will be looking for some section and platoon commanders so we can get together before the event to go through some tactics and look at equipment (night vision, radios etc). Ex-forces guys are very welcome to help make this a safe and fun day and to try to help build up team work.
Skeeter is setting up a board to let you sign up to one side or other. Get your name down as soon as possible.
See you there
Major M
If I end up on your side, I'll be happy to be you lone man/Sniper guy, and if I'm not on your side I'm sorry...I don't think you will find a person that knows this field better then me, besides Brain, b/c the field is his life, and I'm glad b/c if it wasn't it wouldn't be as good as it is, but we will see how this plays out in the end...

Don't forget me Matt. You, Casey, a few others we choose, and I will def have to play together and be snipers, cuz that is what we do best. I don't care what team we play for, but we should see if we can get our own squad of about 5-10 to go out together and just totally rape some people. It will be a good time and I can't wait. See you Sunday.

I have a little inside info and I have been guaranteed that my side will not lose. Of course I am a ref and we can't lose, but that is beside the point. This should be a ton of fun. I look forward to seeing each of you on and off the field.

Do not leave it till the last minute to join the Allied Forces in Market Garden. We are epecting a last minute rush and many are sure to be disappointed !
I am looking for good, bold, thrusting types to act as NCOs and scouts.
Seriously - the organisers are making up individual, named packs for participants so we should do what we can to make their life easier on the day. That way we will all get a better deal.
The signing-up board is in the PBC shop at the field.

We should offer a reward to whoever signs up the most people on the Allied side.
The prize - at least half a bottle of luke-warm English beer - or not
Suggestions anyone.

Hey general, no "torches" and we dont have any real solid leaders. if i had to say anyone I would say my captain "Snowball" who has a Karni, but if I talk to you I'll let you know bout him
I think actually the axis are going to be permanantly psychologically damaged from the dark. They will be crying in their room remembering that dreadfull Oct. 8th night.
