A request (kind of) was brought to me On Saturday. It was for me to leave the grass uncut for speedball day. I have no problem with this but I will still cut it after the weekend to insure it does not get too high.
The request was made so that players can slide farther...

On the subject of grass cutting, have you considerd getting a mulching kit for your mower Brain?

They actually fertilize the existing grass by chopping up the cut grass clippings into super small pieces and leaving them on the ground. This will also eliminate the bagging of grass too.

I couldn't find a pic of the exact kit you'd need to look at because I don't know your tractor model. But here's an example of the:

Deck clipping exhaust cover(which keeps all the clippings w/n to get chopped up even finer)

And the blade which has many extra cutting surfaces

Just a suggestion. It's worked great on our lawn.

I have mulching blades already, they are brand new. I had a slight mishap this weekend and broke a retaining clip on the bagger so I could not bag the grass Saturday morning.

if you cut it the weekend before speedball it should allow for ample growthtime before the game while still maintaining a reasonable grass length, in case you decide to add things like fertilizer (or water in this hellish weather)

i would think it would be harder to tear the grass up when its long, so cut it afterwards.

cut it the Wednesday before. gives it plenty of time to grow to a good height but it isnt too long that its annoying!

First, my name is Chris, not Dick.

Secondly, kid, you're bringing up old threads that aren't even relevant anymore. It's just good forum etiquette not to revive really old threads. Maybe you'll learn that when you learn to use correct punctuation to sound like an intelligent person. Just giving you advice.

Dude, I'm not really sure why you would bring this thread back, or post in it for that matter?

I agree with Chris, it was pointless.
