2009 Tournaments

Hello,
Im Mat and I live in Alaska at the moment.

I was wondering if y'all have any plans for the 2009 season as my brother lives there and I plan on going down and gettin a 3 and 5s team together for tournament play while I'm there.

I'm going to be there about midway through the summer for about a month to a month and a half.

If any information is availiable, please post it.

2009 tournament schedules probably wont be released until early next year.

but you can check www.thecfoa.com for 5man tournaments.
they also have a 3man challenge in the spring and in the fall. should be a link on the cfoa page.

Hm, So there won't be any 3s during the summer?

That kinda sucks. I know 2 people there personally and have met 2 through my friend there so me and him will have a fun time teaching them speedball.

I've heard that the field is rarely open so it'll be hard to practice wont it.

The field is open every 1st and 3rd sunday for speedball. I'm pretty sure.....

no 3mans in the summer unless another field decides to host one.

paintball central does the 3man twice a year. spring and fall.
summertime is pretty busy for the fields with xball and 5man cfoa.

paintball charleston speedball field is open 1st/3rd sunday of each month as long as there are refs available. so far, the 4 days it has been open, reffing has been covered.
if you keep an eye on these forums, you can find out if it is closed. owners will always post up if something changes from the 1st/3rd sundays.

5s are fine but can I get prices and information and a possible field layout to send to my boys to start practicing? It doesn't sound like we'd be able to get any practice in before a tourny. haha Any way to bribe the field haha?

field layout changes for each event. so you wont know until the week before i believe.

It's not about the layout.
It's about being comfortable with your team and gettin communication skills and what not going. Since I'll be there for a month or 2. My best friend can teach them and when i get down there i know whats up.

But then if i know somewhat what the layouts are i can look about them and get them workin on certain skills for each one.

You should post some pictures of yourself playing Ace, i feel very intimidated since it sounds like you practice so much.

as stated before....layouts change every event, thecfoa.com has all of their old layouts on it if you search, the 3man series does not post layouts the xball/5man series usually starts late feb or march, 3man spring in feb i think and the fall series starts in aug.

but like jonjon said, you sound pretty badass so yo shouldnt have any problem playing down here against us scrubs, so your tem should do great with your training
