i believe in order to get rid of racism, everything must be equal; meaning that there should be no special incentives for a particular race. ie BET, Black History Month, special minority college scholarships/loans, etc.

Military personel are not over there because they want to be. Their over there because their in the military and were told there going there. Yes, the Islamists are upset about “non believers” setting foot on Arab lands, but the reasoning is not what the press is feeding you. Islam is a religion of war. Don’t think, that even for a second, it is a religion of peace. The primary reason that the Islamists want us out of the region, specifically Saudi, is that they will have a better chance of overthrowing the existing governments if we are not present. Any Arab government not following Shira law is not a legitimate government in their eyes. They want us out of the region so they can work to undermine the existing governments and spread their beliefs. Yes, most of the Middle Eastern governments are corrupt and self-serving, but they are significantly better than the alternative.

I am willing to debate the topic with you, but you need to understand what we are fighting for. If we succeed in Iraq, and stop (well, at least slow down) the spread of Islamic theocracies, then we are plugging the “hole in the dike”. The question to consider is “if” or “when”? Right now, we still have the chance to stop the spread of Islam (be it militant, passive or moderate) so the question is “if”… If we don’t do anything to stop this plague, then the question becomes “when”?

As for militant –vs- moderate Islam, I have much more information for you, but please do your reading first. The threat is real, and it is right at our doorstep.
