We will try to make this happen. There is a great deal of interest in a Speedball camp and we will try to get with the Powers that Be and figure out how we can do it.

We would need a pre registration of 20 players to even think about doing it. SO that is a number that you guy need to think about. It is still far from happening but with enough support we will work to make it happen.

although it would be hard to get people seperated. on a sat there were tons of people. if you asked if people wanted to play speedball i bet a bunch of rec'ers would want to try it out. and it doesnt work very good with 25 people or more!

But I would like it if maybe one of the refs could come over and supervise a game or two with some peeps!

lol normally we have barely enough people to play, but it gets kind of annoyin w/ like a ton of people playin speedball sometimes, cuz its like you get to get in a few games then pretty much you have to wait a while

No, what gets boring is there not being people that will play. Reasons: (Tired, Not enough paint, other team is too good, gun problems, Wanna play the village, just want to watch). Those are the reasons that a lot of people don't play on saturdays. It is a waste most of the time. If you want to play speedball for the day forget about saving paint for the hour long. PLAY SPEEDBALL it is a really good time. If you are playing people who are better then you, that is awesome, you will learn something and can ask those people for help. If you want to play stop not caring and do something. This clinic would be a serious kick in the pants for speed ball in charleston. Last year there were a ton of teams and now there are very few. Lets get speedball big.

When I started playing speedball we just divided everyone up into three or four teams and rotated who was on the field. This gives everyone a chance to load up and get air and the games keep moving. Then you can mix the teams a little and start again. It's really simple. If you want to play, then go out and play. If nobody plays because they are waiting on someone else to play, then nobody will ever get started. Why don't you guys do what the guys at every other field do? Pick a time and meet up. Make a post about it, get the word out, and then show up. I know that everyone likes to play woodsball but I really think we would all be surprised how fast speedball could grow once we get a dedicated group and some kind of schedule. When guys you know see you out there the'll ask about it and maybe give it a try.

best thing to do is advertise this at the field. have flyers outside and then a sign up sheet inside the store. Its fool proof...and fireproof...well almost...okay maybe not...but it is foolproof.

I hope people take advantage of this great offer. It would help get more people out at the speedball field and make it grow.
