I have been looking into getting a blackheart board for my impulse
does anyone have any feedback on them?
are they hard to install?
if so, could someone at PBC install it?
are they worth it?

Impulses are fine, once the top of the turnament guns, don't forget. I wouldn't get a blackheart because it costs like $200 itself, plus all that extra paint if you are gonna be shooting that fast. If you have the money to burn, go ahead, but otherwise, a loot of paint will be needed to feed a blackheart, or any other ramping board for that matter...

Ive always liked the way impulses look, but i heard they were really heavy. How do you think they would compare in weight to a stock autococker?

Impulses are fine,
ofcourse ur gonna say this seein as how u shoot an impulse...that makes ur statement completely biased. im sure all the impulses(atLEAST 4 of them) sittin in the work bins at the store or fine also huh? wrong... to tipsy my suggestion would be to save the money u would spend on a blackheart board(around 150-200?), sell the impulse(maybe get 200 out of it), and buy a nice DM3, Mag, or Eblade for about 350...u would be way better off that way in the long run...
and for dugan WAS makes boards for impulses also and TAG i believe...

Yea, mine is one of those. I blew the solenoid when I screwed the tank in at too high pressure. Impulses are great, I blew it apart by my own fault. That is the first time I have had the gun hospatalized in the 4 years I have owned it, so back off a bit.
Also, jimbo, yes I shoot semi, I don't see the need to shoot ramped...i dont see why anyone needs to...Why not hit a guy at the speed your fingers can move (pretty fast still). Why do people need guns that shoot 20+ balls PER SECOND? thats a little much, its not really reasonable is what I'm getting at.

Also, for you, I own both an impulse and a gen-x-4. YOu don't really feel the difference, but If I had to pich, the impulse is heavier, but faster.

actually in tournaments you only shoot 15. and neways it just makes you feel like a real man when you can shoot 15 without having to walk your gun the whole time. adn I have a retarded left hand, so semi does me no good.
I am not trying to flame you but upgrading an impluse isn't too smart.
Dugan, not trying to flame you but why give a remark like that to something that you have not seen nor shot. Personally I think that Impulse's are good guns if they are put in the right hands. I know plenty of people who have them and Dugan just to let you know about 2 of your teammates used to shoot Impulse's (me and mike), so start watching what you say about other peoples guns.

Ya, my impulse was sick. That thing was probably the best shooting gun I owned. Unfortunely, that thing weighed way too much. Great gun though. I personally had a WAS board though and that thing was FAST.

Well, I've never shot a ramping gun, but I am sure you are right. Also, I have a slow left hand, too. It is annoying when shooting semi.
Also, ewok speaks true words. Amen, brother.

I guess I will do something different and actually answer your question. We have sold a couple Blackheart boards and I have had nothing but good feedback on them. They are made by SP so they are warranted through them and they will also not void the warranty on your gun. They are not hard to install and if you buy the board through us we will install it for free. If you buy it anywhere else it will be $10 to install.
Impulses are great gun and don’t let anyone tell you anything different. One of my favorite guns that I have ever owned was my impulse.
Come by the PBC store any Monday, Wednesday or Friday and I will be more than happy to talk to you about ungrades.

for some reason i just love gameface impulses and rat/strange ones. i suggest you getting i-frames (not made anymore) same with otb frames, but yes. to me impulses are alittle old school. they are great, but what the world is offering right now. i think your better off with something else. you could get so much out of your money nowadays. since the ion is 199, wrath ltd, with BREAK BEAM EYES. but if you love your impulse, then go right ahead. its not all about the gun but the person using it. i would never sell my gun just go get a different one. i usually sell my gun because i need to, if i wanted another gun i just save from scratch.
