Where does one go to get a tank rehydroed and when must it be done (for a carbon fiber wrapped tank)?

Mines being done right now, I cant remember the name of them but I have their Phone #. Its some fire protection service place about 2 miles from PBC.

Most tanks have a 3 year hydro on them but some newer ones have 5 years.

Where does one go to get a tank rehydroed and when must it be done (for a carbon fiber wrapped tank)?

On a CF tank it will be anywhere from 3-5 years before you need to hydro. On your tank look for something that looks like 06^02. Each tank manufacators has a different symbol in the middle but all will tell you the month and date the tank was made. The tank will expire the last day of the month before the tank was made.

thats if its a 5 year. you need to look on your tank to see if its 3 or 5 years. but even if it is a 3 year hydro there are "execptions". My tank didnt need a hydro, they changed it to 5 years a few years back. It all depends on the tank. Have the guy there check it out and he can tell you for sure!

Your tank may (or may not) need to be hydro'ed... If it is a Luxfer or Carleton AND has an exemption code of e-10915 or e-11115 (going by memory on these numbers so you they may not be exact), then it is a 5 year hydro tank. Bring it by the store and we can check it out for you...
