I have a pure energy tank 68/3k i just recently got. it needs rehydro, but i was just wondering how to tell if it is hp or lp....i know that lp is 450 output and hp is 850 output, but is there anything on the reg itself that states one way or the other......my guess would be thats its hp...cause its a basic tank and hp is more uniform, but just wanted to double check

if its pure energy reg, it should be HP. i know the tank would say, but the reg wqould have to be original

yes it is the original reg., where on the tank does it state output pressure...????isnt the pressure based on reg, not the tank....?

Off-handed I'm not sure how to check for indication on the reg stating if it's HP/LP, but I know with PE's it's relatively simple to change the output pressure.

My PE 45/45 says low pressure on the side. So thats how I know. My hp tank didn't have anything saying it was hp though. So I figured it was hp.

pure energy tanks have LP stamped on the reg by the fill nipple (i think).

but you can rig something to check output pressure. if you have a duckbill (or any asa), simply plug one side of asa, then attach a gauge to the other side of asa. screw tank in, voila, output pressure of tank will read on gauge.

liberty fire protection
on peppermill pkwy off ashley phosphate by the vw dealership.

~$20 to rehydro. i suggest taking the reg off yourself, or getting the store to do it. liberty wont do it. well, they took mine off and destroyed the reg doing it.

no . they are not a scuba shop.

liberty fire protection works on fire extinguishers. and they hydro tanks right there. its less than $20.
