I'm having problems with my gun freezing. I use a 20oz co2 tank. I'm getting way to much cold air through my gun, to where its actually freezing the paint. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem, on a very low budget?

What type of gun and setup are you using? There are a few ways to prevent this. One of them is to use a remote line, but many people don't care for remotes. Another is the expansion chamber or Palmer's stabilizer as listed above. You can also try installing an antisiphon line in your tank, but that should be done by a professional, as it can actually be installed as to be a siphon line if done incorrectly.

new gun. I've had it apart a couple of times.

theres ur problem...if its new y does it need to be taken apart? the best thing to do w/ a new gun is to take it 2 the store during the week sometime and take it apart w/ the supervision of a store worker so they can explain what things do what and how they go back together w/o causing problems..other than that its really hard to freeze paint and takes time cause its so viscous so i doubt its acctually freezin w/in the milliseconds its in breech...is the problem that the paint isnt breaking( cause its "frozen") or is it the fact that ur using a lot of CO2? cause a solution for paint not breakin would be buy a better quality paint...hope i atleast helped a little bit...

The paints not completely freezing its mainly slushy but, i asked someone from paintball of charleston today and he said' its because i'm holding my gun barrel facing down. I need to carry it level. I don't really know the sallution, but, i did buy an expansion chamber from ebay. So we will see. Thanks for the input guys

The problem you cause by holding the gun down is that you are basically pouring liquid CO2 into the CVX valve. It won't really damage the gun, but it will wear out the o-rings faster, cause fluctuations in your velocity, you will go through more CO2, etc. If you want to know too much about the subject just ask Skeeter about O-rings someday. Just make sure you have plenty of time on your hands.

Why is a 4 hour class on "how an O-ring works" such a big deal to everyone???
