I was looking around on the nation and saw this in the nws forum.....thought it was pretty interesting. I personally would like the CFOA to adopt this system for classing players, and it would be interesting to see where your team ranks nationally based on how you do regionally.....what do yall think?

and if you dont play or have played tournament speedball please DO NOT comment...i dont ant my thread clutter with ya'lls b.s

so this way people who play CFOA will be ranked n the same level as people who play NEPL or whatever it is in California?

It's about time.

all leagues that adopt the program will have to adopt all psp rules..therefore it will be a universal format. Your points in your regional league are kept up with nationally and is combined with points you receive in any other league to a national point scale seperate from the regional one.. basiclly your cfoa points stay there amongst cfoa teams, and they are also entered in nationally and added to lets say you play a psp event which is like double points since its a natonal league to give you a national point total...i made it sound confusing but it isnt, just interesting more than anything.

The one thing I would like to see come out of it is, the universal rules!!!!I liked the psp 5man format I played while at cup and would like to see the cfoa adopt it as well.

The other BIG topic this off-season is the new 10bps rof cap. I played with it in greenville and kinda liked it. It brings skill into the game and helps take away from the "spray and pray" tactic from before...much harder to lane too.

Man people were antsy when they went from 15 to 13.3. I bet a bunch of people are pissed about going down to 10 now.

Will this new system make it so a team that plays both PSP and CFOA (average at PSP and wins all CFOA events) could rank higher than a team that plays only PSP and does above average in those events?

It's about time that everyone got on the ball and got together with the same format, set of rules, ranking system, etc. I guess it only makes sense since NPPL is done.

Im not sure exactly how you would rank nationally. psp would still have its standings, cfoa would have its, and then there would be a national standing...Im sure theyd have to do some sort of average of grade the series somehow by participation for a percentage of what your points are worth. If i understood correct when reading it the psp points count double for so many events, so i guess it would even it out since cfoa has twice as many events between 5man and xball. Lots of changes in store for this season none the less ans i think its pretty interesting, i cant wait to start, only 3 weeks til first event

it probably wont last, especially if most of the larger circuits buy into this new system, and are you really looking at playing with that karnage team? they're gonna get worked if they play d1 in anything, should be playing d3 or d4...

umm... I still have a second rage tryout and they're only playing USPL. And from what I heard anyway, Karnage has a few old Arsenal players.

good luck on the tryout, and imo a few arsenal players cant carry a whole team, but i could be wrong, I hope they do well, it would be good for the players in our region as a whole for teams to do well from the area

They have awhile before HB event anyway. I mentioned the arsenal players because I think thats why the team has to play such a high division. Until the next rage practice, Im not committing to anything. Also, Raiden is having tryouts for its D1 team on sunday as well as the PBC home teams. Whats the word on Cash Money this season?

This whole universal system reminds me of the BCS in college. There's no way to accurately gauge everyone. I say thumbsdown.
Which reminds me, Arsenal=thumbsdown.

Gotta keep options open. If I dont make rage then Im pretty much SOL and I dont want to be sitting out another season playing with throw together teams with Lumpkin (you know what I mean Dustin)
