Anyone else like to cook? Got any good recipes?
Beer brats are what is on my mind right now.
Take a package of brats, half an onion (cut into half rings), aluminum foil and a 12 pack of your favorite beer and lay them out on the counter. Drink a beer. Take the foil, double/triple/quadruple it over and fold the edges up to make a disposeable pan. Drink a beer. Heat the grill up and pour 2 cans of beer in the pan then toss the onions in. Drink a beer. Let em soak for a while (beer should get really hot, maybe even boil) and throw the brats in. Drink a beer. Let em cook for a while (10-15 min) while drinkin a beer and when you think they're about done toss em on the grill to brown and crisp the skin. Drink another beer. Toss em back into the beer/onion mixture which should be reducing by now and swash em around in the mixture. Drink another beer. Toss em in a bun with some spicy brown mustard and enjoy. you should have three beers left by now and a good buzz. Throw one back to wash down your brats and toss the other two in the fridge for me. PM me to let me know you're bringin them to the field!

This is almost exactly what we were eating last night!!! Onions & a sweet bacon BBQ sauce should go in the pan (after college, you can buy disposable/recycleable alum versions) with the beer. Also, dark beer (stouts!!!) works best for the brats. Makes them happy.

Hot Pockets:
Go to store, frozen food isle, pick out your favorite flavor. I'm a big fan of Meatballs and Mozzarella. Remove from packaging and place pastry in cardboard sleeve. Place on a paper towel and microwave for 2 minutes. 3 minutes and 30 seconds if microwaving two pasteries. Let sit 1 to 2 minutes or you will burn the roof of your mouth.

Sweet, i used to have the same smoker. Now I have a propane powered one....charcoal pisses me off plus when you've been drinking all night long propane is way safer (kinda).
So you gave me a great idea, I have about 2 lbs of pulled pork from the last time I smoked some butts. Thats gettin' thawed for dinner tonight!!

I made something like that before, except inside I did cream cheese, onions, sharp cheddar, green peppers, mushrooms and pieces of jalapenos. I didn't make a layer of bacon like that either, I just wrapped it in a layer of about 8 pieces and threw it on the smoker. SOOOOOO good. but also SOOOOOO unhealthy

2lbs Venison cube steak (or beef i perfer venison)
2lbs bacon
1 bottle italian dressing
1 large Vidalia Onion
1 Large bell pepper
Marinade Venison over night in italian dressing.
cut cube steak into 1 inch wide 3 inch long strips. (roughly)
cut bell pepper and onion into 1" by 1" sections.
cut bacon strips in half.
Wrap strips of cube steak around 1 onion square and 1 bell pepper square and then wrap the enitre thing in bacon. pop a tooth pick through the center to hold it together. should look similar to chris's jalepenos on the previous page. after all your prep work is done throw them on the grill and cook til the bacon looks done. now eat til your arteries harden....
its nice because i have 35lbs more venison cube steak and about 80lbs venison hamburger :yes4lo:
