you really shouldnt "paint" a paintball gun. powder coating will work (i heard of some people doing that), but if you want to re-annodize your gun, check out fireball mountain among others.
just google annodizing and see what comes up.
ps... im sure the guys at the store will have a few others to add, but fireball is a common place.
good luck

Max anodizing is good, A+ (not sure if they are still around), Fireball Mountain (they lazer engraved my last gun) and check out Doropaintball. Those should show you what you need to know.

It also depends on what kind of gun you have. Some can be annodized while others can't but can be powder coated. I am not sure if Sin Customs still does powder coating, but they have been known to turn out some awesome stuff.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread..... but,
Painting markers is done quite frequently in other circles than here and I also plan to DuraCoat my A-5 in the Vietnam Tiger Stripe (http://www.lauerweaponry.com/duracoatcolors.cfm?colortype=pattern&Category=240)pattern - color scheme link on left of screen.
You can also send your marker to these guys Tactical Camo (http://tacticalcamo.com/)or Special Ops Custom Painting (http://forum.specialopspaintball.com/index.php?showforum=80)and they will do an excellent job... for a price.
If you like to do your own mods and upgrades, there are plenty of forums with "How To" sections on painting your marker such as: "[HOWTO] Paint your marker Digital Style". (http://forum.specialopspaintball.com/index.php?showtopic=21936&hl=paint) and HOWTO: Paint your marker Tigerstripe Style (http://www.undergroundmodshop.com/forums/vBulletin/showthread.php?t=652). The author of the posts owns Tactical Camo.
You can go from the ghetto home mod (Krylon spray can) to the gold standard (DuraCoat) and your pattern is nearly unlimited.

Hope this helps,

Yeah, painting can be done IF done correctly. You would need about 3 coats of paint and 3 clear coats. Ive done a custom paintjob on ions all the time, i know i know body is plastic but i also did trigger frames which is aluminum, you just need high quality clear coating.

Make sure when you send your parts into a place to get them "painted." Make sure that they will insure that if anything goes wrong with the parts while they are there they will replace them. Fireball mountain was robbed and a few guys that play at my field had their markers stolen.
