Dont figure ill get too much interest on here but its worth a shot.
I got this Kayak w/ the hopes of restoring its beauty on a rainy day. Now we are moving and the single garage of the new place wont offer enough room to work on it on those rainy days.
Specs and pics:
-Original "Chesapeak" model kayak from Chesapeak Light Craft.
-17' pine and fiber glass construction
-BIG BOY boat. supports over 250lbs. much larger than i need
-two hatches(not shown) w/ pleanty of room in the bulkheads for camping/touring gear
-all the old deteriorated decking hardwear(seen in #1 pic but not #2)
-Back rest. NO actual seat.
-Skeg slot. NO skeg.
-No paddle or PFD included. i intended on buying a matching wood one upon completion.

This was a project for me. I planned on sanding the deck down to the wood.(only got about 1/8th of that done). Then i was goin to Stain and Urathane the deck a red hardwood. then sand and re-glass the hull and add this** graphite powder to the expoy for a pitch black look.
**Graphite Powder (http://www.clcboats.com/shop/products/supplies/epoxy_fiberglass/WEST-GP000.html)
The original maker of the boat kits are still in business. They have a website:Boat Plans, Boat Kits, Kayak Kits, Canoe Kits, Sailboat Kits, Rowboat Kits, Paddleboard Kits, Boatbuilding Supplies, Boat Gear and Accessories, Kayaks, Canoes, Sailing Dinghies, Rowing Craft, Paddleboards, Stand Up Paddleboards, Surfboard Kits » Welc (http://www.CLCBOATS.com). there you can find absolutely EVERYTHING needed to restore this beautiful boat. Deck hardwear, rigging, fiberglass, epoxies, inlays, SEATS, everything!
this would make an awesome and fairly easy project for anyone. the site also has a Builders Forum a lot like this comprised of people who may know answers to your questions during the restoration or even nice spots to paddle.
The price is $200. shipping not an option. if w/n reason i can deliver for some extra gas monies.
