just borrow your friends gun for awhile and instead of getting either of those just save up a good bit of money and get a high end gun that you can rely on

i have about 750$ and he is selling both of his guns to get money for an A-5

well i personally would not go with an ion just cuz its me design of the gun is good but unless u buy it upgraded u will spend more than the original price just to replace the things need replacing

dont get me wrong i am sore at smart parts they make decent guns and such but i will not buy from them

Ps get a mag they are fast and fast and reliable

yah but actually a tippmann would be more reliable than a high end gun. and when you buy a high end gun you enp up spending money on a new hopper, and tank. and by that time you have spent a long time savin money and not playing paintball

badubet

the a-5 stealth is a pretty high end gun it is about 600 where i have seen it

DeepFreeze

Personally I would go for a pump to increase the challenge during recball.

badubet

i am really trying to not go that route

Agreed. im not tryin to talk you out of what ever ur overall decision is but, playin w/ a pump just amplifies the game and make a 10x better player out of ya. you really learn how to make every shot count and its surprisingly cheaper...but really u gotta pick which ever gun u feel comfortable w/. my advice would be hang out and make a couple friends at the paintball field. if ur trustworthy enough they'll let you borrow some of their different guns and equipment and you can really see what you like and what you dont...asking what gun you should get ur gonna get a pretty biased answer...every1 that answers is obviously goin to tell you their personal favorite reguardless of what you think about the gun(ex. Deepfreeze and I, we both prefer to play w/ pumps so we say go w/ pumps) Its really your choice man...

by my intimidator for 500, lol. jp, yeah i suggest you to buy a blaster from paintball charleston because its free labor and maintenance FOREVER, but of course you pay for replacements (IE: parts) btw is o-rings free for maintenance?

honestly, Im not a fan of mags, but they are a tried and true design.

Save your money and just get a Tippmann R/T, dont worry bout all that "stealth" stuff, from what I understand your just paying for looks, which add no performance to the marker whatsoever.

But if your going the pump-route, a phantom is always a good choice. I believe there is about 5 on the wall right now and they are all VSC (vertical stock class, imo the best option), check out CCI's site and see what kind of setup you would like, and you will not need close to the amoutn of money you have, so you could spend it on playing gear, or paint, or w/e.

Phantom definately!

the stealth package comes with the flatline barrel that creates backspin for longer straighter shots

what website can i look at to see mags? my parents are too busy to take me to pbc

Personally I would go for a pump to increase the challenge during recball.

And if you listen to this goofball over here (come on, who would willingly go to Antarctica?) then you might be interested in a Phantom, which I actually have up for sale. It's the most acurate paintball gun I've ever shot.

my friend wants to know if they sell shockers at pbc?

DM5GUNNA
06-26-2006, 09:27 AM
they have 2 x-mags (gorgeous guns), an e-tac, and a ULE E mag, i also believe they have a few mech mags, but call and ask at 552-1115

DeepFreeze
06-26-2006, 09:55 AM
Yes they sell shockers. They sell virtually any gun you can buy in a store. If they don't have it they can typically get it for you in no time.

DM5GUNNA
06-26-2006, 01:32 PM
yes they have shockers, right now they have a black vision in the store

mags are good. friend had an automag rt pro. fun gun.
As for an x-mag. wow. a little steep, eh? I like my impulse. Funny thing is, I can shoot faster than my friend and his shocker (no ramping, walking skill same). You just gotta know what to do to a gun for the best results. I'm no expert on mags, but if you want to get good results, talk to someone and get the specs on upgrades 'cause a lower-end/older/cheaper gun can be upgraded to be better than a more expensive gun. Kinda hard for me to put what I'm trying to say into words, but whatever.

badubet
06-27-2006, 08:04 AM
he wants a red shocker sft

guitarmaster1195
06-27-2006, 08:34 AM
hard to find any other kind of shocker around nowadays (sft)... but yea, i personally suggest a pump. I have a vsc phantom and a pump autococker (sniper II) and both have made me a much better player, plus they cost a lot less in the gun and paint areas. However, if you are stubborn and really don't want a pump, get a mag or a cocker.

badubet
06-27-2006, 08:40 AM
but my friend wants a shocker and asked me to ask ya'll if they (pbc) had a red one and if he can use co2 with it

DM5GUNNA
06-27-2006, 09:40 AM
they dont have a red one, even though Im sure they could get one, but CO2, the gun itself can handle it, but it is highly reccomended to have nitrogen, i wouldnt even risk running the gun on Co2 because of the noid, and the internals, and plus if you did run it on it, you would get horrible performance.

badubet
06-27-2006, 09:48 AM
he isnt going to spend that much money on nitro. what do you think about the Kingman Spyder Electra 06 with EYE

DM5GUNNA
06-27-2006, 02:46 PM
spyders, Im not a big fan of them, first off they are pretty hard to get parts for and they are made pretty cheaply. if he wants a gun that he can run off of CO2 tell him to check into tippmann 98 customs, if he wants some more speed he can put a response trigger into it. if I had to pick i would definately pick the 98 b/c its alot more reliable and made alot better. and if he buys a 98, tell him to go to PBC they are priced as good as your going to get, and you also get a lifetime labor for free and 2 free field passes. Tell him to look into it

SuPeRmAn
06-27-2006, 03:38 PM
i got a 98 for sale too so if u goes that route

guitarmaster1195
06-27-2006, 05:03 PM
tell him if he isn't willing to spend $200 on the tank, then he shouldn't be willing to spend the $150 on the hopper, and the $650 on the shocker in the first place. Oh and no- don't get the spyder, personally, they suck. Get a tippmann, which will last forever, isn't electronic (can run in rain and doesn't need a battery), is a lot more accurate, and weighs same or less.

alldugan
06-27-2006, 06:40 PM
As a matter of fact, tippman is making electronic guns now. They have WAS boards and can shoot up to 30bps. I would go that route if you are looking for a durable, inexpencive, high quality paintball gun.

06-28-2006, 08:53 AM
