im lookin 4 a gun that is light and fast b/c the proto is gettin on my nerves b/c it is heavy as s@#$ and P.S. not too too pricey thanks

what kind of problems are you having with the proto?
you could put an UL frame on it, that would make it lighter.
or if you just dont like the proto anymore, check out the new planet eclipse ETEK. $750 and light as an ego.
i dont know what price range you looking in, but shockers are very light and not very pricy.
the list can go on forever on what gun to get that is light and fast.

protos are not heavy maybe its ur tank and and halo if u use a halo you could get a 9volt mod (recballking has one) and get a lighter/smaller tank

you can pick up a new g7 fly for about $800. its not the new angel, but it is very light, very fast, and all around a very good gun. low maintenance. cant beat that price either.
or pick up a used dm5 (you might find a new one for under $800).

gas hog no matter what and its just wasnt my bag of beans i guess and many others dont like either

actually with HE bolt (evolve,freeflow,ndz), the shocker is pretty comparable to most markers on shots per tank. no more of a gas hog than the dm3/4/5. since you can get all day air at the fields, shouldnt matter. you can shoot 3pods/1hopper off a 3k fill.
the ego is one of the most air efficient markers out today. angels/karnis are pretty good too, but with fine tuning, every marker can get better air efficiency.
so dont base your decision on what hkarmy said.
