Summerville Light

Are you talking about Summerville lighthouse rd? When I was in high school we use to go down it all the time. We never saw anything.

i've been it looks pretty legit to me and its kinda creepy cause your suppose to go at like 12 at night. and turn your lights off and you see stuff but i heard they closed it recently, im not positive though

That terrain is horrible out there! But me and my friend have sat in his Jeep at the beggining of Light Road and have actually seen the light, but he thinks its a couple of drunk guys playing around, but I ain't know for sure.

we can go shoot something anytime you want clays/target wise. I cant get in the tree stand due to the ACL/MCL/Miniscus reconstructive surgery will be around Thanksgiving or so before i can walk under my own power. but i cant go back to work til around the first of the year according to the doctors so i have ample time.

On a side note if anyone wants to buy a pretty much new 08 Raptor 250SE let me know ill make you a good deal.

summerville light as in sheepisland road? behind the theater? ya its real its not drunks sitting down the road with a lantern bc its there every night. some ppl say its cars from another road but ive been all the way down it and theres no other road. if you google earth it you will c wat im talking about. but good luck getting to it. the forest dept. have dug 2 huge 10 deep trenchs across the road. you can still walk the road tho. or if you have a truck sitting on 44's or bigger you can drive around the ditchs they dug and go see it. and yes summerville light rd (sheepisland) backs up to jedburg.

I've never seen the "light" .. and parts of sheep island rd you probably don't want to be walking around on.

sheep island road down by 176 is kinda rough but the end near summerville is actually the end closer to where the "light" is supposed to be.

the light is there and its not drunk guys cause if you see it long enough it looks like its in your car or right in front of it and then you see things outside your car. ive gone twice and both times saw it. and i figured it was closed buti heard that if you live in jedburg you can take this one road or a shortcut and get to it but i havent tried it lately my friend did it awhile ago before he moved from there

IIRC, I've been there like my junior year of highschool (2-3 years ago) with like 5 other guys. We went through the Summerville side. Right behind Target. There's a huge pile of rocks and big trench in the beginning of the road to stop cars from driving through. It was very wet, tons of big puddles, big holes, and lots of random stuff. We saw like 2 refrigerators, 3 tires, dozens of lost shoes, t-shirts, etc. You have to dodge through so many big puddles and what not, because they are huge.

There is definitely a light at the end. We saw it all the way through the whole walk. For the most part it is color red. It dims and brightens up constantly. We walked a good 5 or so miles. Before all of our cellphones and flash lights start to die from using them as lights. We never reached the end, and it wasn't all that scary. Other then being really dark, scaring each other, and seeing random items.

Personally, I think it's just a stop sign at the end that's being reflected off headlights from cars. But I have no idea, since I never reached the end.

My shoes were ruined, from all the mud. And it was hard getting through, due to the large puddles and holes in the ground. Expect a long ass walk, and I don't think we reached the railroad tracks or not. Or at least I've never noticed it.

edit: IIRC, the pile of rocks was HUGE. I can't imagine any truck to go through it, unless your truck is super lifted and that big. I think the pile came first, and the trench was exactly right after it. It was obvious dozens of more people went through it, because they put a big tree branch as a bridge on the trench so people can walk on it.

I have heard so much about it but I want to see pictures. i have heard stories of people walking it leaving there cars before the trenches and the car being flipped when they come back, the "light" chasing them, the light coming into the car turning off all of the electric power and then it leaves and the car randomly startss up.... I just want to know if this stuff is real and legit. I want a picture or somethin........

the car cutting off and the light coming in the car happend to me both times i went but thiswas before they put the ditch and i havent been there since

theres 2 ditchs now. the only way to get anywhere near seeing the light is if you get out and walk and stand on top of the 2nd ditch
