Ok, I got it last sunday. 1978 Glastron SSV-177, Mercruiser 165. Hull is in great shape. All seats will be removed. Some recovered and some will not be replaced. Floor and carpet will need to be replaced. I will need to replace the outdrive bellows and the waterpump for sure. Not sure what else at this time.
It was kept in a shed so minimal sun damage. Really only funny thing was all the feathers and hornet nest in it. I shop-vac'd about 10lbs of junk out of it!

Whew... That is one heck of a project. Are all of the electronics in working order? The hull looks perfect! It should clean up nice.
One of the best tools (ever) for boat cleaning (in and out) is a pressure washer. It will take care of all the mildew on the seats. Try that, before pulling/removing/replacing them. A few hours of high-pressure H2O can save TONS of $$ & effort. It will pull the mildew off the hull, glass, rails, and knock the rust off the trailer.
BTW... How the heck is your garage so clean? I envy you!

Thanks for the advice on the pressure washer Skeeter. I will need to scrounge up my Father-in-law's. Funny enough, most of that crud is just old pollen. It actually rubs right off...I thought that was weird too.
I know that the ingition switch will need to be replaced, the old owner said they "rigged" it. Not sure what that means :D. The rest is untested but looks to be in good shape (i.e. no frayed wires).
The trailer will need to be rewired but thats pretty easy. The seat coushins I plan to keep have some dryrot but for the most part some vinyl conditioner should help alot.
It will be a long project but I think its going to be fun.
Oh and the garage....well when we moved up here in December, it was full of boxes from the moving truck. My wife stays home so she emptied them out in a week and told me to make room for her car! Funny enough, both her car and my boat fit nicely in the garage along with an extra washer and dryer, two big dog kennels, a fridge, some file cabinets, and a host of other crap I need to dispose of. The garage is just flat big.
However, the real help is my my big shed behind the house. It houses the dirtbike, tiller, mowers, and all the other crap that you might find in a garage. Man I love living in the country.

A lot of pressure washers mix cleaning supplies with the water [I reccomend bleach(or clorox clean-up w/ bleach)] It works wonders on the boat seats and even after a rough season outside my boats still come clean with 2600 psi.
Good luck to you...

Planning to get my father-in-law's pressure washer this weekend and start the cleaning. I won't use bleach simply because it is a rediculously dangerous chemical (don't get me started, my wife is a hippy :D) and we don't keep it at the house. I will likely just use water. New pictures will be up Monday at the latest.
Kirby, I actually sold the Smaxx to a good friend of mine that wanted to get into RC w/ his son. I recently picked up a Team Losi Aftershock.....very very very fast. Now w/ a full acre front yard its alot of fun to drive it in the yard.

Well a few weeks ago, I got to work on the boat. She is cleaned over and out. I have turned the engine over and checked all the electronics. The blower works, the hydraulics work, the steering works (cable), the lights work, the fuel pump works, the coil energizes and the plugs are hot, the horn does not work :).
Next step is to get the carb rebuild kit and the water pump rebuild kit. I'll rebuild those, replace the hydraulic hoses, and water circulation hoses and then the engine is going to be fired up. After that, the last step is to pull off the outdrive and replace the bellows. I have a friend here who is a boat mechanic so I'm going to ask him to help me w/ this job as its just a little out of my range.
Updated pics.
