I have an A5 with a flatline. I was given a response trigger for the A5 but i have not installed it. From reading about it, I dont know if I'm going to like it, mainly because of the way it works, but also, im afraid its going to compromise the performance of the flatline. So, what is everyone's opinion. Should I install the response trigger, would the e-grip be a better addtion, or should I not install either.

I use an A5 with RT and flatline interchanging with a dye ultralight.

The RT makes no difference to the flatline. Most of the time I fire single shots in any case - only opening up when needed. Unless the RT is properly tuned you often only get three shots off on auto. Freezing can be a problem - so go for a remote or expansion chamber.

I have used the flatline for about four months but went back to the ultralight for accuracy and enjoyed it after getting used to the curved trajectory again.

Sadly, unless you are very lucky the flaltine is not going to give you the accuracy or consistency at long range. But in the woods its great. So is RT when you need it.

Hope this helps - but I expect to be shot down by someone out there

Go with the RT, and the flatline is overrated...like Panic said an Ultralite is really nice, go with the RT though, and you don't need anything else...no tippmans need anything fancy on them, the love their CO2...

flatlines are loud, heavy, and only fairly accurate, but ultralites are quiet, light, and highly accurate. Trash the flatline and buy an ultralite or cp. And go with the response- if you want electronic, just go buy another gun. Responses are the best upgrade for a tippmann- i have it and love it. Go buy one now.
