I think he means electro pneumatic poppit/ram driven (etc) marker. The only closed bolt markers that are out are autocockers, shocker sports, omens, and some pumps (not familiar with pumps)

no i don't know what you mean, when you use something in the wrong context i no longer have any idea what you are looking for, when you said you were looking for an open bolt marker i thought that you would be looking for an autococker...then all of a sudden we are looking for a timmy or an ego...

and thank you bko we knew what he meant...

and in my boredom of this week i think imma pull out some POS cocker in my closet and make it closed bolt...i dunno why i just need something to do

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autococker

Like all pump markers, it is closed-bolt, and its operation can be broken down into two discrete phases, or cycles:

I rest my case regarding the conflicting statements. I bet he just mis-typed or misunderstood, everyone knows autocockers are closed bolt. Closed bolt means, the bolt leaves the breech closed when it is at rest and ready to fire. So when you shoot an autococker the first shot is always a blank, since no balls are fed into the breech until you shoot; thus opening the breech. etc.

You told me you wanted an "open bolt" marker for cold weather because a "closed bolt" will shoot bad. Basically, you want an ego or timmy instead of your shocker because you think it shoots bad in cold weather... Why is this? No gun shoots worse in cold weather. The only difference is that bad lubes gunk up in extremely cold weather. Definitely don't have to worry about that around here.

thank you louis. i was tryin to explain this to him. but apparently i dont know guns or something. NO GUN WILL SHOOT WORSE IN COLD WEATHER, it doesnt matter, i dont know who told you that, but its not gunna happen. with shockers ive heard if it does happen raise your dwell. problem solved...

That is just so so tempting.....Hmmmm, Matt are you up for an "Autococker knowledge test?" And as far as "paintball knowledge" goes, are we talking about all paintball knowledge, or what most youngsters consider paintball knowledge, i.e. nothing before 1998 or so? I would be willing to put a wager that Skeeter and I could hold our own in the knowledge department. You don't even want to get him started on O-rings.

BTW, pertaining to the earlier post that autocockers are closed bolt, well, this is almost true. An autococker can be timed so as to make it an open bolt gun, but with it being normally timed it is a closed bolt gun.

i know that: that 1 leaky thing w/ 3-barbs and hoses coming out of it, is best fixed if you smash it w/ a hammer and replace it w/ a pump kit...:oo7dt:
